Range & voice type

This is a slow glide, not a song. Talking does not count.

How to do this
  1. Do not speak. You are sliding, not performing a chorus.
  2. Start on an easy low “whoa”. Slide up slowly (2–4 seconds) to a high that still feels easy.
  3. Slide back down the same path. No shout, no leaps.
  4. One or two trips is enough.
Sound for the glide — not a song

Your take

Quiet room. Record at least 8s, or upload a clip.

In plain English

This is the “where does your voice live?” test. You glide from an easy low to an easy high. We guess a working region (baritone, mezzo, and so on) and a comfortable span. It can move a bit from take to take.

This fills Working voice type, Comfortable range on your voice profile. A noisy room or a spoken take will come back undetermined. That is the honest answer, not a failed test.

What you get back

These are the fields this clip can update. Empty ones stay empty until a take is clean enough.

Working voice type

A region label from this clip — bass, baritone, tenor, mezzo, soprano, or mixed. It is a working guess from a phone mic, not a choir assignment.

Comfortable range

The low-to-high span that still sounded easy. Notes you reached by squeezing do not count as comfortable.
